Mid-Century Modern Renovation: Part 1
A massive makeover is underway that will retain a Brookwood Forest home’s mid-century modern charm, while giving it a fresh twist. Currently the house has been taken down to the studs so we can re-imagine the space and find a balance between representing the period while creating something more functional to suit the family’s busy lifestyle.
The house was built in 1964 and is very much centered on a connection with the outdoors. The only owner was a master gardener, who customized the front and backyard with many special plantings and a vegetable garden. Our favorite details are the expansive panes of glass throughout the house that allow light to enter rooms from multiple angles.
Renovation Design Concept
The overall renovation concept will remain faithful to the original design and style of the home while enhancing its aesthetic and function. We can’t wait to breathe new life into this home!
